The [YouTube] Search Trends block fetches trending video data from YouTube based on a selected category and geographic region.
Retrieve trending YouTube videos by category and region
The [YouTube] Search Trends block fetches trending video data from YouTube based on a selected category and geographic region. You configure three key inputs: a trending category (one of "now", "music", "gaming", or "films"), a language code such as "en", and a country code such as "US". Together these parameters determine which trending videos are returned for a given audience and locale.
The block outputs a trends object containing trending video data for the selected category and region, which is saved to a variable you specify via the destinationVar field. This variable can then be referenced by downstream blocks in your workflow for further processing, filtering, or display.
This block fits into workflows that need to surface current YouTube trends for content research, reporting, or audience analysis. It is commonly used alongside text generation or summarization blocks to produce trend digests, or paired with data formatting blocks to present trending video information in a structured output.
